Recruited from the very block where unarmed black teen Michael Brown was gunned down by a white police officer, these kids ranging in age from 6 to 13 years old, use sometimes uncomfortable humor to show white people the continued racism their generation faces. Armed ONLY with statistics (hands up, don't shoot) these articulate and adorable kids are not having it while much of white America would rather pretend racism is over.
via St. Louis Public Radio: A forum Thursday evening peering into Ferguson’s longstanding tensions as well as the St. Louis region’s racial divisions became angry and heated, with most of a crowd’s ire directed at the town’s mayor.
Audience members expressed searing criticism of Ferguson’s governance and leadership, both of which have come under fire since one of the Ferguson's police officers shot and killed 18-year-old Michael Brown.
11-year-old Trinity Simone had some thoughts on the killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri and the protests that followed to secure him justice. "I shouldn't be scared to attend school," she says."I shouldn't be scared for my little brothers to go outside because we are targeted."

Michael Brown's mother, Lesley McSpadden, appeared this morning on Good Morning America to discuss the release of the independent autopsy. She appeared with her lawyer Benjamin Crump in St. Louis, Missouri.
State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal represents Missouri's 14th district and on Monday she and other peaceful protesters were tear gassed by police in Ferguson, Missouri. She explains the denial of rights to local news, "They have every right to assemble freely and to express themselves without having tear gas thrown at them."
