The end of May through June is always a wonderful time, as it's when many Black folks graduate with high school diplomas, as well with undergraduate and advanced degrees. It's always great to see our people pursuing their dreams and achieving greatness.

Toni Morrison is a one-woman literary institution. Her work is a gift to the world, but rarely do we get to see her as irreverent and joyful as we did during her appearance on the Colbert Report.

Two of the most respected living authors came together to discuss their craft at the New York Public Library recently.
Most remarkable are the stories of Toni Morrison about her days at a publishing house and challenging the white gaze.
Toni also speaks about the power of female friendship and her close relationship to author and filmmaker Toni Cade Bambara.
