Dr. Patricia Hill Collins Gives Lecture on "Lessons from Black Feminism"

Dr. Patricia Hill Collins is best known for her academic contributions to Black feminism. By placing Black women at the center of her seminal work,Black Feminist Thought: Knowledge, Consciousness, and the Politics of Empowerment, she offers new framework through which to interpret the struggle against intersecting oppressions.

In this talk titled, "We Who Believe in Freedom Cannot Rest: Lessons from Black Feminism" she examines how the intellectual products of Black women are often not given the credit they deserve in providing the foundation for liberation movements.
