OWN to Celebrate 50th Anniversary of Selma Marches Starting New Year's Day

Black history and Civil Rights are never just reserved for February.

Oprah will use the month of January to honor the many strides made during the Civil Rights Movement and the acts of resistance displayed during the bus boycotts and marches.

Starting at 10:00pm January 1st, Tamron Hall will host "Race on the Oprah Winfrey Show" and revisit the iconic and historic racially based appearances and dialogue that took place on "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

Hall will revisit the former talk show host's 1988 conversation with a white supremacist, Nelson Mandela's visit, live broadcasting of the O.J. Simpson trial verdict, and much more.
