Watch Regina Hall and Jessica Williams In "People Places Things" Trailer

People, Places, Things is a new comedy coming to theaters in a limited release August 14, and it features actresses Regina Hall and Jessica Williams in outstanding supporting roles.

Williams plays Kat, the student of Will (Jemaine Clement) who is a father trying to pull his life together after he discovers his longtime girlfriend cheating on him. Hall plays Kat's mother Diane, an accomplished lit professor at Columbia who Kat introduces to Will.

Indie Wire's The Playlist called Hall's performance "pitch perfect as the slightly neurotic, opinionated, and no bullshit Diane," and gave kudos to writer-director Jim Strouse, noting that nothing in the script mentioned race and the two actresses were cast color blind.
