Misty Copeland Documentary, "A Ballerina's Tale," Hits Theaters

 "A Ballerina’s Tale," a documentary that gives an intimate look into the life of ballerina Misty Copeland, is now in select theaters.



The film explores Copeland's career as she struggles with recovering from a potentially career-ending injury while being a black ballerina in a predominantly white Ballet world. Here is a synopsis of the film directed by Nelson George:

"Iconic ballerina Misty Copeland made history when she became the first African-American woman to be named principal dancer of the legendary American Ballet Theater.
