'Seventh Grade' is an Unmissable Short Film on Black Girlhood

Stefani Saintonge's Seventh Grade tells a riveting story of power of friendship. Patrice still plays with dolls, but she and her friends are growing up. When a rumor threatens her bestfriend, Laura's, reputation, she springs into action.

From beginning to end, the story is told with warmth. The film won the inaugural Essence Black Women in Hollywood Short Film contest.
