Things Got Awkward When a Fox News Host Asked a Black Woman About Kool-Aid

Fox News host Harris Faulkner was showing up her signature peach cobbler recipe during a Thanksgiving segment when host Brian Kilmeade asked her if she served Kool-Aid with her meals.


The question came out of nowhere and Faulkner was visibly stunned by the inquiry.

Faulkner kept it together, as most of us do when faced with these sorts of micro aggressions, but the damage had been done.

“Do you make Kool-Aid?” he asked.

“Uh, do I do what?” she replied.

“Make Kool-Aid,” Kilmeade repeated.

“Uh, no,” Faulkner stuttered. “I – I don’t make Kool-Aid.”
