In an interview with Al Jazeera America, Lesley McSpadden was read a portion of the New Yorker interview with Darren Wilson in which he was asked if he ever thought about her son, Micheal Brown.

Michael Brown's parents, Lesley McSpadden and Michael Brown Sr, issued a measured statement to press via their attorney Benjamin Crump shortly after St. Louis County prosecuting attorney announced that the grand jury decided not to indict Darren Wilson.

Sybrina Fulton and Valerie Bell came together with CNN to offer some words of encouragement to Lesley McSpadden whose son, Mike Brown, will be laid to rest today. Valerie Bell, whose son Sean was killed eight years ago told McSpadden, "My son used to tell me, 'Ma, I got this,' so I'm telling you, 'Ma, you got this.'"
