"Orange is the New Black" star Uzo Aduba recently shared a short operatic performance on the View and blew away the audience with her amazing voice. Although she is known to many of us for her portrayal of "Crazy Eyes," the talented actor studied classical voice at Boston University.
Netflix's hit show Orange Is the New Black is coming back for a third season on June 12th. Alex is back at Litchfield, and it looks like Vee is gone. The rest of the cast looks like they're back to their old shenanigans.
33-year-old Uzo Aduba
won her first Emmy earlier this week for her role as Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren. Her award for guest actress in a comedy series will not be televised, so unfortunately we will not get to see Uzo's big moment. But thankfully an intrepid journalist recorded her in the press room immediately after she accepted her award from Morgan Freeman.
While binge watching Season 2 of Orange is the New Black, I was struck by Uzo Aduba's spectacular performance as Crazy Eyes. She inhabits the role so well that it's easy to forget that at the end of the day, Uzo is just a phenomenally talented woman.
It's great to see her silly side in short clips like this one from Funny or Die. Uzo tries on the other characters on OITNB in a hilarious audition tape.
