The film chronicles the beginning of a friendship turned love story over the course of time that began with one hesitant date. The audience will have an opportunity to be inspired by a glimpse of the very private marriage held between the Obama's.
In addition to starring in this highly anticipated film, Mic reports Tika also worked as a producer for the project written and directed by Richard Tanne. You can see her alongside Parker Sawyers as President Barack Obama inSouth Side With You, debuting at the Sundance film festivalon January 21st.
