The end of May through June is always a wonderful time, as it's when many Black folks graduate with high school diplomas, as well with undergraduate and advanced degrees. It's always great to see our people pursuing their dreams and achieving greatness.

With the driving theme of “ideas worth spreading,” TED Talks have become a widely known online media platform. With the goal of having leaders from different backgrounds and fields share their stories, experiences, and thoughts on a wide range of topics, TED Talks are equal parts entertaining, educational, and inspiring.

Comedian Sheryl Underwood has been a staple in the industry for years, and she's often been questioned why she was not apart of the highly successful Queens of Comedy tour. She got emotional while sharing the event that left her "bruised" but not "broken" on The Talk.

In Sarah Lewis' first book The Rise: Creativity, the Gift of Failure, and the Search for Mastery, she uses the stories of masters of a wide range of fields to illustrate why our focus should be on creativity and mastery not success. She explains,"Mastery is not a commitment to a goal but to a constant pursuit." That pursuit will, ultimately, lead you to your desired destination.

A few weeks ago, Oprah visited the Stanford Graduate School of Business and sat down for a candid interview on the lessons she's learned about life and business throughout her 40 year career.

Oprah, despite her wealth, always manages to make it plain. This was an hour well spent.

During her autobiographical episode of the OWN series Master Class, Oprah shared some of the truths that she's learned during her journey to becoming one of the most well-respected names in media.

The clip is filled with gems, but among the most profound is, "every single moment that has ever happened in your life is preparing you for what is to come."
