Black Girls Code was founded with the intent of bringing more black girls and women into the technology field. Founder Kimberly Bryant takes her organization across the country and holds coding workshops. These sessions are often the girls first introduction to app design and programming.
The second episode of the BGC webseries follows the group to South Florida where they speak to members of the community as well as staff about the hardships that accompany creating opportunities for young Black women.
