Lifetime Releases First Trailer for Aaliyah Biopic

Lifetime has released the first full trailer for Aaliyah: Princess of R&B. Controvery has followed the project since it's announcement, but now we're getting a first look at the TV movie.


The trailer opens with a vision of Aaliyah’s mother counseling the rising star, played by Alexandra Shipp. “It takes more than some hot producer to create a superstar,” actress Rachael Crawford says. “It takes the right artist.”
