On Tuesday, Zoe Kravitz's band, Lolawolf, released their debut LP, "Calm Down"… and it's amazing!
Lolawolf includes Kravitz, Jimmy Giannopoulos and James Levy. Kravitz is the band's lead singer, and her voice is a treat to listen to—equal parts melodic, gritty, and soulful.
The album is a retro-inspired blend of numerous genres—electronic, pop, R&B, hip-hop, and alternative—for a sound that is fresh and unique, and still coming off as a cohesive, polished production. And the songs are catchy and easy to groove along with.
