LisaRaye's "Skinned" Highlights the Psychological Toll of Colorism

LisaRaye is making her directorial debut with a new drama. "Skinned" explores colorism within Black communities through the story of a young woman named Jolie. Jolie's insecurities compel her to bleach her skin and endure the accompanying health consequences.

The film was co-directed by Avery O. Williams and written by Williams and Clarice Kulah.
