Sasheer Zamata Tackles Lack of Diversity in Tech Industry

On this previous weekend's "SNL," the incredibly funny Sasheer Zamata tackled the lack of diversity within the tech world, using the current offering of Emoji's as an example.


As she states within the video, "There are over 800 Emoji on Apple's iPhone, and not one of them is a Black person… Even the Black Power fist is white!"

Her commentary also focused on the current racial tensions in the U.S., discussing how to use Emoji's to communicate being pulled over while Black and the protesting in NYC after the non-indictment announcement for Eric Garner's death.
