Naomi Campbell aka The Greatest Supermodel of all time sat down with Meredith Viera to talk about her latest role on Fox's Empire and her historic career. The topic then turned to the new crop of Instagram models — the Instagirls — many of whom have gained popularity through their social media presence. Naomi provided her analysis on the phenomena, and as you may have imagined, she’s not necessarily here for these new It girls.
Naomi noted that she and her generation of supermodel sistren had to “earn our stripes” to get that “super” title. But though she said she’s astonished by how easily supermodeldom is coming to this younger group of girls, she is thankful for having to take a bit of a rockier path to get to where she is today. “Sometimes, it’s easy come, easy go. So, I’m actually grateful for the way I’ve had my career. I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
