Poet and activist Staceyann Chin recorded a video with her daughter, Zuri, about Zuri's desire not to be picked up without her permission. Their "Living Room Protest" was short and important.
Children should have a voice and some control over their bodies. Chin is teaching little Zuri the power of consent early, and I love her for it.
