Michigan Sisters Motivated to Excel After Nearly Fatal Car Crash

Kysre and Kalabrya Gondrezick excel in athletics, academics, and pageantry. When the sisters experienced a serious car accident in December 2014 that they learned how to turn a tragic event into something positive.

The Michigan sisters were left in critical conditions after a nearly-fatal car crash, but credit it as a life-chaniging experience. Lisa Harvey-Gondrezick, their mom and coach, was in the driver's seat during the crash.

"If you can't value and appreciate life and what you have in store for yourself after that given moment," Kysre said in an interview with WSBT. "I don't think that you've taken anything back from that experience. You have a lot to accomplish in this world. And right now is not the end. It's only the beginning."
Kysre is the top-ranked player in Michigan and a 5-star prospect as a senior. Kalabrya will join the women's basketball team at Michigan State next year.
