Michel’le Explains Why Dr. Dre's Abusive History is Not in the NWA Biopic

Here on For Harriet, we've been covering Dr. Dre’s history of beating women and how his violent past has been largely overlooked especially in the film, "Straight Out of Compton." Dr. Dre's ex-fiance Michel’le hasn't been silent on the abuse she received from him. She recently spoke with DJ Vlad about why she is absent from the film.

In the interview R&B Diva Michel’le tells DJ Vlad she's happy she is not in the film. She says she doesn't mind because “that’s Cube’s version of his life.”

When DJ Vlad states that Dr. Dre is also an executive producer she says, “Why would Dre put me in it? I was just a quiet girl friend who got beat up and got told to sit down and shut up."

“My part has no value to, probably, what they really want to talk about,” she adds, “unless they want to talk."
