Actress Aisha Tyler Says She Doesn't "Regret" Choosing Career Over Kids


During a recent episode of "The Talk," the co-hosts discussed Gabrielle Union’s comment, “The penance for being a career woman is barrenness” and how their careers have impacted their decisions to start families.


Gabrielle Union and Tyra Banks have recently opened up about fertility struggles and balancing their careers with potential motherhood. This sparked the ladies of "The Talk" to open up about their own fertility struggles.

45-year-old actress Aisha Tyler revealed that she does not regret choosing her career over motherhood.  “I was with someone at 19 and I was married at 23 and I didn’t want kids when I was in my 20s," she said. "I wasn’t mentally prepared to take care of them, I was focused on my career, Then when I got to be in my 40s and I thought about having kids, I wasn’t able to have kids naturally. I don’t regret it.”

"These were my choices and I don’t regret them,” she said. “I won’t apologize for choosing my career over kids.”

Youtube sensation GloZell Green and Sheryl Underwood also chimed in on their fertility stories.
