Missouri State Senator Outraged After Being Tear Gassed at Ferguson Protest

State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal represents Missouri's 14th district and on Monday she and other peaceful protesters were tear gassed by police in Ferguson, Missouri. She explains the denial of rights to local news, "They have every right to assemble freely and to express themselves without having tear gas thrown at them."

Chappelle-Nadal says the State Highway Patrol are responsible for the attacks. When she questioned the Ferguson Police Chief about whether the use of tear gas would continue, Chief Tom Jackson replied, "I Hope Not."
