Brandy Performs in Disguise on Subway, Gets No Love

Disguised in sunglasses and a hoodie, singer and actress Brandy Norwood caught a ride on a New York City subway and sung Whitney Houston's "Home."

After her performance the other commuters seemed to not be fazed by Brandy's singing. She asked "What ya'll thought of that? You thought that was cool? Hello?"
While most riders continued to ignore her, one rider gave her a piece of advice. "You gotta go out there and engage with the people," he says. "You're too into yourself. This is a warm city ready to engage you, but you gotta go out there and embrace it. Don't be scared. You got talent man, go for it."
Brandy wrote about the experience in a note on her blog:
I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay in New York. Ever since moving here in April I've made sure to REALLY experience the city.
I've hung out in Central Park, Times Square, ridden the bus, and I've gotten accustomed to taking the subway too. I feel like a real New Yorker. I'm learning the streets and everything, y'all!
There's something different about NY. The energy and the drive of the people is just DIFFERENT. I like it!
Recently, Frank Silent and I took a little subway ride after I'd left the gym. Frank, his camera, and I always equal a good time.
I decided to hit the subway and sing my little heart out. You've GOTTA check out this video and see why this fun-filled morning left me asking: Can a Sistah get ONE fan?!
