Journalist Danyel Smith Sits Down for a Dynamic Conversation Her Creative Career


Her Agenda and AlleyNYC teamed up to host HerAgendaLive in New York City featuring award winning journalist Danyel Smith, the founder of HRDCVR, a hardcover culture magazine created by diverse teams for a diverse world.



Smith who has worked for VIBE, Billboard, The New York Times, The New Yorker, EBONY and The Village Voice started her career in Oakland, California and moved to New York City to pursue journalism further. She shared this journey as well as the creation of HRDCVR and her fellowship with Stanford University during the interactive talk. The conversation ended with a question and answer session in which Smith shared on safe spaces for women of color in media.
