There's no reason why Black History Month shouldn't be your favorite time of year. Unless, of course, you've got no choice but to be surrounded by non-Black people who haven't a clue what they're talking about. Existence in non-Black spaces during the period we set aside to celebrate Blackness can be awkward, to say the least.
