"Southside With You" Captures Blossoming Love on Michelle and Barack's First Date

Barack and Michelle Obama are often framed as #relationshipgoals, but before they were the most powerful couple in the world, they were two attorneys who met in a prestigious law firm in Chicago. Southside with You dramatizes their first date. Barack Obama is played by Parker Sawyers and Tika Sumpter portrays Michelle Robinson.  Michelle, who was Barack's superior at the firm they worked for, starts their relationship with hesitation, but she is soon won over by his passion.

Though this is a premise that could easily go wrong, the film looks great. It is set to come theaters in August 2016.
