Emerald Garner Offers Support to Deceased NYPD Officer's Families

Emerald Garner has nothing but condolences for the families of the two police officers killed in New York this past Saturday.


In an interview, the daughter of Eric Garner told ABC news that she does not feel conflicted for standing with the officer’s family as she was “never anti-police.” She goes on to explain her belief that race did not play a role in the police officers' deaths, but that instead shooter Ismaaiyl Brinsley's violence was caused by a "mental health crisis."
