2-Year-Old Girl Sexually Assaulted and Killed by Former Family Friend in Oklahoma City

A toddler in Oklahoma City was raped while her mother attended class. She later died of internal injuries and other injuries that indicated sexual assault.

Justin Lawson is accused of sexually assaulting Sheleah Cudjo while her mother, Keah, was away.

"You don't look at a child like that. That's wrong," said the victim’s aunt, Sabrina Cudjo told KFOR. "All my sister was trying to do was better herself and get on her feet. And you do this and now everything is crumbling for us."

Justin Lawson first contacted the victims mother around 8 a.m. saying that something was wrong with Sheleah.

“I got a call that she peed on herself and was shaking. I tried to come home, but he said she was alright,” Keah Cudjo says, “By the time I got here, my baby was on her back foaming at her mouth. The first thing I did was ran to my baby screaming for someone to take me to the hospital.”

Keah says she and Lawson recently started dating, but they've known each other since they were young. “I just want to know why did he do my baby like that,” she said.

Justin Lawson has been charged with first-degree murder and rape.

The family has created a GoFundMe account to help pay for the burial service of Shaleah.
